Pasta with Smoked Sausage and Red Cabbage

      This is a simple dinner, but full of the robust flavors of smoked sausages and red cabbage, tossed with pasta.  If you didn't make the Red Cabbage you can buy ready-made to use in this dish.

Pasta with Red Cabbage and Smoked Sausage

Total time: 25 minutes
    The slightly salty, sweet flavor of smoked sausage goes well with the sweet sour taste of the cabbage.  The pasta just brings it all together.  I used smoked bratwurst.  Italian sausages would work... but something smoked is better!

Pasta with Red Cabbage and Smoked Sausage Ingredients: 

 Instructions:

Cooking schedule: 25 minutes
Assemble all food, utensils and serving dishes
Utensils: measuring cups, spoons, knives,
pot and colander for pasta, skillet with lid

Put water on high heat for pasta
Brown sausages
Turn sausages, brown some more

Add cabbage, cover, simmer
Cook pasta
      Wee break - check e-mail, snail mail
Remove sausages, cut
Drain pasta
Combine the whole lot, mix well
Serve, enjoy
