Potato, Ham and Broccoli Gratin

Cooking time:  70 minutes, 60 minute break, for menu      Cooking schedule: see below for instructions

         Scalloped potatoes, a bit of onion, some ham and broccoli, and you have a complete dinner from the oven with very little work. You could bake it for 90 minutes at 350F (175C) if you like.

Potato, Ham and Broccoli Gratin

Total time: 1 hour 10 minutes 
    A bit of cutting and slicing, add flour and cover with milk and cheese.  What could be easier?  An hour later a dinner, piping hot and creamy, pops out of the oven, ready to serve.

Potato, Ham and Broccoli Gratin Ingredients:


Cooking schedule: 70 minutes
Assemble all food, utensils and serving dishes
Utensils: measuring cups, spoons, knives,
large bowl, medium bowl, whisk, large glass baking
dish with lid or foil

Turn oven on 400F (200C)  or lower for longer
Cut broccoli, ham
Slice potatoes, onions

Toss everything with flour
Put into a baking dish
Whisk milk, mustard
Pour milk over vegetables
Sprinkle with cheese, cover, bake
      60 minute break
Uncover to brown cheese
Remove and serve
