Menu Plan for the week of Jan. 25, 2013: Day 4 Recipes

Pasta with Pork, Red Peppers and Cannellini
Fresh Fruit

Cooking time: 25 minutes for menu          Cooking schedule: see below for instructions

      Leftovers.... Just add pasta.  The pork and red peppers are from Day 2, the beans from Day 1.

Pasta with Pork, Red Peppers, Cannellini         Preparation and cooking time: 25 minutes
     From the leftovers of Braised Pork in Red Wine with Red Peppers  

2 cups leftover pork
leftover sauce and vegetables
3/4 - 1 1/2 cups white beans
red wine or chicken stock if needed to expand sauce
1 1/4 cup pasta - penne, rigatoni, rotelle

Cook pasta according to package directions, drain.
Cut the pork into bit-size pieces. Gently reheat sauce with vegetables.  Add pork and beans.
When pasta is done, combine with pork and sauce. Serve.

Your choice of something seasonal

Cooking schedule: 25 minutes
Assemble all food, utensils and serving dishes
Utensils: measuring cups, spoons, knives,
pot and colander for pasta, medium skillet with lid

Put water on high heat for pasta
       Go do something until it's boiling

Start to cook pasta
Reheat sauce, vegetables
Cut pork, add to sauce
Add beans to sauce
When pasta is done, drain and combine with sauce
Serve - don't forget the fruit for dessert
