6 Day Menu Plan: Week 1  Fall I

This week on the Menu we have:

Steak with red wine Steak with Roasted Garlic, Red Wine Sauce

carrots and potatoes   Grilled Potatoes and Carrots Dijon

stuffed peppers  Stuffed Bell Peppers, Oriental Style

Weekly Shopping List 

            The summer vegetables are tapering off and the fall ones appearing:  Butternut and acorn squashes for me, probably more of a variety for you.  Other than spaghetti squash, they are interchangeable, within reason, in the recipes.  It's difficult to peel an acorn squash or pumpkin, because of the ridges, so they are easier cooked in the shell.  Butternuts have a small cavity so they are not best for stuffing.  They all are great roasted, either peeled or not!

Sautéed Chard with Red Onion

Day 2:  Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Reduction
Grilled Potatoes and Carrots Dijon

Day 3: Pizza Margherita

Day 4:  Barbecued Chicken Breasts
Pasta with Wild Mushroom Sauce
Roasted Butternut Squash

Day 5:  Stuffed Bell Peppers, Oriental Style

Day 6:  Chicken Breasts / Tarragon Mustard Sauce
French Potato Salad
Butternut Squash with Browned Butter
