Weekly Shopping List  

        This time of year I offer a lot of substitutions.  It's hard to predict when you can get fresh herbs; if you can get green garlic, etc.  I like to offer the recipes even though you may have to use the substitutions.  Cooking seasonally can be a bit of a challenge....

Day 1:  Pan-Fried Salmon with Lemon and Capers
Barley with Green Garlic
Sautéed Mangetout (Snow Peas) & Mushrooms

Day 2: Tournedos with Creamy Brown Sauce
Roasted New Potatoes
Butter Braised Carrots with Mushrooms

Day 3:  Tuna and Asparagus Risotto
Fresh Strawberries with Yogurt and Mint

Day 4:  Pasta with Sausages and Cherry Tomatoes

Day 5:  Chicken Thighs in Wine and Vinegar
Skillet Roasted New Potatoes
Sautéed Snow Peas  (mangetout, pea pods)

Day 6:  Stir-Fried Chicken / Mushrooms, Tomatoes
