Pasta with Beef and Peppers

Cooking time:  25 minutes for menu          Cooking schedule: see below for instructions

       This dish has tomatoes in it.... But not the sauce or juice, giving it a different look and taste. You can keep the tomato juices in the fridge for a few days, or freeze it. Use it whenever tomato sauce is called for.

Pasta with Beef and Peppers

Total time: 25 minutes
     An Italian stir-fry!  The beef and peppers will cook in less time than the pasta. This is not meant to have a 'sauce' in the traditional manner, but a light coating of flavors on the pasta with chunky beef and peppers on top.

Pasta with Beef and Peppers Ingredients:

 Instructions:

Cooking schedule: 25 minutes
Assemble all ingredients and utensils
Utensils: measuring cups, spoons, knives,
large skillet with lid, pot and colander for pasta
Put water on high heat for pasta
Slice onion, pepper
Mince garlic
Heat oil in nonstick skillet
Add chili powder, sauté briefly
Add onions, peppers, garlic, sauté
Pit olives if needed, slice

Slice beef
Start to cook pasta
Remove peppers, onions, add beef, sauté
Open, drain tomatoes
Roughly chop tomatoes
Add tomatoes to beef, sauté
Return peppers, onions, add herbs, olives
Cover, simmer
Drain pasta, put in bowl
Add beef, peppers, toss
Serve
