     Spaghetti and Meatballs with a twist - both the meatballs and the sauce get a hint of a bite from the fresh ginger.

Spaghetti with Ginger Meatballs

Total time: 35 minutes
    Fresh ginger and a bit of soy sauce add a subtle Asian flavor to these meatballs.

Carrots with Yogurt Cream

Total time: 25 minutes
    Carrots are naturally sweet. Finished with a bit of creamy, tart yogurt gives them a fresh flavor, with a Moroccan twist.

 Instructions:

Cooking schedule: 35 minutes
Assemble all food, utensils and serving dishes
Utensils: measuring cups, spoons, knives,
large skillet with lid, pot and colander for pasta, small skillet with lid, plate

Put water on high heat for pasta
Mince garlic, ginger, divide in half
Roughly chop onion
Mince 1/4 onion
Roughly chop pepper
Beat egg with fork
Add crumbs, mustard, soy, vinegar, mix
Add half ginger, garlic, herbs, 1/4 onion, mix
Add beef, mix
Make meatballs, leave on plate

Sauté paprika
Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, pepper for sauce
Chop tomatoes, reserve juices
Peel, cut carrots
Add tomatoes, sauce, soy, paste, herbs to skillet
Heat sauce to simmering
Add meatballs, cover, simmer
Cook pasta
Put carrots, stock in small skillet, cover, cook
   Pause while stuff cooks
Turn meatballs
Remove carrots, add herbs, spices to stock, reduce
Drain pasta, arrange in bowl, top with meatballs
Add yogurt to reduced liquid, pour over carrots
Serve
