Pasta with Browned Butter, Garlic and Parmesan Time: 30 minutes
more or less - depending on how long it takes your pasta to cook
1 cup dried pasta - bite-size. I used penne
2 tbs butter
2 cloves garlic, finely minced or crushed
1/4 cup Parmesan
fresh herbs if you have them
Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and put in serving bowl. Return pasta pan to medium heat. Add butter and minced garlic to pan and sauté until it turns golden - being careful not to let it turn too dark or it will taste burnt. When brown remove from heat and pour over pasta. Add Parmesan, toss lightly and serve.
