Orzo with Browned Butter and Herbs                          Time: 25 minutes

1/2 cup orzo
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1 1/2 tsp dried parsley    substitute 1 tbs fresh or frozen
1 1/2 tsp dried chives     substitute 1 tbs fresh or frozen
1 1/2 tbs butter
1/4 tsp pepper

Put orzo, stock and herbs in a small pan and bring to simmer on medium heat.  Turn heat to low and simmer until done stirring occasionally.  All stock will be absorbed.  Melt butter in small saucepan.  Cook gently until it starts to brown, 3 - 5 minutes, being careful that it doesn't burn.  Add pepper and cook briefly.  Pour browned butter over orzo, mix well and serve.

Note:  Since it's such a small amount of butter, use a spatula to get it all out of the pan ....I'm trying to be a bit weight health conscious.
