We are going to be doing a little summer pantry clean-up with this week's menu; specifically the orange marmalade which we don't use in the winter. If you do not have any, there are good substitutions suggested.
As to the rest, we are still doing 'transitional' cooking, some outdoors to take advantage of late summer evenings, some indoors for the opposite reasons. And we are moving away from the fresh herbs.
We'll be doing the first of 3 stuffed pepper recipes this week. I suggest buying 16oz ground beef (500gr mince), dividing it into thirds and freezing.
Friday: Spanish Eggs (Pipérade)
Filet of Sole España
Potato Leek CakeTo continue on our Spanish theme we'll have a chardonnay from Enate, in the Somotano region of Spain, "1,2,3" with the Eggs. With the Sole, we'll have their "Merlot Merlot". (Not a typo)
If you would like to learn more about French wines check out this site french wine a day.
Saturday: Lentil Salad with Mozzarella
Spicy Beef Kebabs
Summer CouscousWe'll finish the "1,2,3" with the Salad and have a Beaune, Montee Rouge with the Kebabs.
Sunday: Prosciutto, Pepper and Fennel Risotto
Baked Cinnamon ApplesMonday: Orange Glazed Turkey Cutlets
Oriental Pasta SaladTuesday: Grilled Sausages
Courgette (Zucchini) and Tomato Gratin
Baked Potato ChipsWednesday: Grilled Lemon Chicken
Oriental Pasta SaladThursday: Stuffed Peppers, Italian Style
