As soon as the weather turns cool the makings for 'raclette parties' flood the supermarkets. Tableside raclette grills are everywhere and the cheese counters are filled with various styles and flavors of raclette cheese. If you have a grill, great; but my instructions for this Raclette Party don't require any special equipment, just a willingness to have an easy dinner. And with trimming the tree and decorating the house, I decided to keep the whole week easy! Bon Appétit!
Friday: Fireside Dinner: Raclette with Traditional Garnish
Individual Apple CrispsWith our Fireside Dinner we're sticking with tradition and having a wine from the Mosel Valley in Germany, a Schwartz Katz Auslese. For those who don't know, German wines, even the Auslese's can range from dry to sweet. Ours is a halb-trokken or semi-dry. If you are only familiar with Blue Nun it's time to expand your horizons.
