Burgers and Beans                                                                  Time: 30 minutes

12 oz (350gr) ground beef, turkey, chicken, venison....
1 large onion - preferably red or sweet
1 can barbecue or baked beans  mine has a rather watery tomato sauce so I partially drain them
4 tbs ketchup
4 tsp Dijon mustard
aluminum foil

Tear off 4 squares of foil (as long as the box is wide).  Peel onion, cut into 4 slices and put one slice in the center of each square.  Divide ground beef into fourths, patty and place a patty on top of each onion slice.  Spoon beans on top of burger patties dividing evenly.  Put mustard and ketchup on top of beans - dividing evenly.  Bring opposite sides of foil together and fold over.  Fold in ends. We cook them on the gas grill for about 15 minutes but you can cook them in the oven - 400F for 20 minutes.  When done - unwrap and put on plates. Serve with Brown Rice.

Brown Rice                                               Time: 20 minutes or whatever your package says

1/2 cup brown rice - I use 'Uncle Ben's' which is all I can get and it is quick cooking.  It looks like
brown Basmati and cooks in 15 minutes.
1 cup water or chicken stock (or half each) or whatever your rice calls for

Cook rice according to package instructions.   Fluff and serve.                                                                                                           top of page
