Weekly Menu Planner:  April 1, 2011

      We're seeing green garlic in our markets now.  Green garlic is immature garlic (not scapes, which are blossom stems) pulled before the bulb splits into cloves.  It's very mild. Substitute 2 green onions and 1 clove garlic if you don't have it where you live... Directions given on each recipe.  And another favorite spring vegetable - asparagus, is here.
